The 1948 contract with the Bureau states that the UVWUA can deliver water to five classes of land: these classes are marked on the Bureau maps. Under certain conditions water can be released from the land by consent of UVWUA Board of Directors. The released water cannot be used or bought by another landowner in the valley. Once released, it is unlikely the Bureau would reinstate water to the property at any time in the future. Contact the office to discuss this option.
